Dealing with Conflict

This course develops the skills to manage conflict within the Council and between the Local Government and the community. This course will enable Council Members to identify common communication roadblocks, the source of conflicts within Council and develop techniques for resolving conflict situations.

The program will examine  communication strategies, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and how to navigate through confronting and challenging situations; including how conflict can be dealt with in work and personal lives.


Target Audience:

Designed for Elected Members who would like to enhance their interpersonal skills, improve relationships with colleagues and get the most out of their role in Local Government.
