After 18 months serving on council I am finding any local government training relevant and easier to understand. WALGA’s presenters are experienced in local government and have a realistic and often encouraging view of our role as Elected Members in a complicated management model.

- City of Greater Geraldton -

I really enjoyed the Agenda and Minutes training with Steve Smith earlier this month, and additionally the Local Government Act Advanced with Sean Fletcher this week. Both are excellent trainers and I thoroughly recommend these courses.

- City of Wanneroo -

I recently participated in the WALGA AIIMS Awareness eLearning module so that I could enhance my knowledge base about AIIMS. I found the course to be very informative and user friendly. The assessments at the end of each unit reinforced the content that had been covered and were very straightforward. I would certainly recommend this and the other WALGA Emergency Management courses to local government staff who may have an interest in Emergency Management or who may be required to assist the local government authority prepare and recover if the worst was to occur.
